Willow Drying
Chip comes out of the field in
excess of 50% moisture content. This
requires immediate drying on a
ventilated drying floor if the
grower is to get the highest return
for their harvest.
We provide the complete package to
enable you to dry chip to below 20%
moisture and, as result, get a
higher return for your harvest.
On average, we install more than ten
drying floors a year. These are
conventional grain drying floors,
modified to dry low density wood
chip, which gives the advantage of
being capable of drying grain
through the Summer/Autumn and wood
chip through the Winter/Spring.
The floor is cast concrete
construction capable of
withstanding weights of up
to 5 tonnes per wheel when
finished. We will also size
appropriate fans and heat
source equipment to use your
available fuel and meet your
drying needs.
